Getting Started Guide
This is where you can find out all about the website, discover areas of the website you may not yet have explored, and most importantly help you find your feet and feel comfortable with getting involved and contributing regularly. At first glance it may feel there is far too much going on and that it is best left to the experts - that couldn't be further from the truth. This website is for everyone in the Club to join in and enjoy being part of the Jaguar community.

Let's start by answering 3 key questions :
Can I break something by having a go ? Most unlikely.
If you find yourself stuck, having started something and not been able to finish it maybe, then by reaching out to the Admin via the available Contact Form should enable most things to be resolved.
To contribute, do I have join in with every section on the website ? Not at all, far from it.
As a Member you are encouraged to support the Club and it's website in whatever way you want, by joining in discussions, or supporting events, or sharing picture(s) and stories of your Jaguar ownership.

By reading further you will uncover the different sections avaialable and importantly how you as a member can use them.
Remember - Your car, your photos, your stories and your club memories all help bring the Club and its website to life.
Here are three easy ways to get started
Discovery
Here is where you can start to explore what each section does and get an idea of the different sections that come together to make up our Club's website. It would be fair to say that the sections fall into three groups, The Car, The Member and The Activities.
The Car
Car Albums
Capture and share the history and experience of your car, stories of your ownership, restoration and modification, and shows and holidays you been with it.
Car Picture Gallery
Share your favourite photo or photos of your car(s), and tell members where it was taken and why it's memorable to you.
The Member
Events
See what Events the Club and its members are putting on or attending, add your own Event, or register your interest or attendance at a future Event.
Meetings
Check the dates and Agendas for future and past meetings, and read the minutes of the past meetings all in one place (no more searching of emails needed).
Calendar
Look up the dates of all future and past Events and Meetings, and at a glance see who has registered their interest or attendance at an Event
The Activities
Activity Reports
Read about Club Activities, what members experienced at past Meetings and Events, or write your own report about an Event you've attended.
Getting Started
Now let's equip you with the tools and confidence to feel relaxed about having a go, ready to use the Club's website regularly, and able to enjoy actively supporting the Club and its members.
Remember - Your car, your photos, your stories and your club memories all help bring the Club and its website to life.
So, where to begin... I'd suggest starting with a Photo Gallery entry. It is relatively straightforward and will help you familiarise yourself with how things work. Alternatively, you may want to create your first Car Album.
Gallery Photo
The Car is the Star Gallery Photos should be considered as portraits of your car, and therefore suit photos of individual cars rather groups of cars.
You can add as many Gallery Photos as you wish, but select special photos of your car - diversity instead of lots of photos from the same day out. 🙂
To get started,
- You will need to choose a favourite photo of your car
- Select Photo Gallery Option, then View My Gallery Photos, then Create a Gallery Photo
- Add your selected photo and a few details about, then save it.
That either sounds straight forward or jibberish - if it sounds straight forward then just go ahead and have a go, if jibberish then fear not as there is a full detailed explaination available via the button below.
Car Albums
Car Albums let you tell the story of your Jaguar — from basic introduction details through to restoration work, ownership stories, modifications, shows, holidays and adventures.
To get started,
- You will need at least 1 photo of your car, to introduce it
- Select Member's Car Album, then View My Car Albums, then Create a Car Album
- Add your selected photo and a introduction details about your car and your ownership of it, then save it.
Similar to the instructions for creating a Gallery Photo, these either sound straight forward or jibberish - if it sounds straight forward then just go ahead and have a go, if jibberish then fear not as there is a full detailed explaination available via the button below.
Once the basic album exists, you can return to it later and add more stories, sections and photos over time.
You can create additional Car Albums for any other Jaguar you own or have owned.
Club Events
The Events section shows events the Club or its members are attending, organising or suggesting for others to enjoy.
You can register your interest or attendance so other members and the committee have a clearer idea of who may be going.
You can also add an Event yourself if it is something other Club members may be able to attend.
Calendar
The Calendar brings together upcoming Club Events, meetings and activities in one place.
Use it to check what is coming up, look back at past events, and quickly see where members have registered interest or attendance.
Club Meetings
The Club Meetings section keeps meeting information, agendas and minutes together in one place.
You can check future meeting dates, see what is planned, and read minutes from previous meetings without searching back through emails.
Club Activities
Club Activities are where past events and meetings can become part of the Region's shared history.
Members can read reports, look back at what happened, and in future contribute their own words and photos from events they attended.
