Once the mechanics were sorted out, attention then turned to dealing with the rust damage that Pawla had incurred.
The car had rusted in all the usual Jaguar XJS locations around the wheel arches
Introduction
Pawla is named Pawla after the PAW in her registration number (D349 PAW) and because when I first bought her she was so poorly she started being called "Poorly Pawla". As she has been restored stage by stage, she is no longer so poorly so her name has been shortened to just Pawla.
When I bought the car it had left in a barn for several years, and then been stood outside in a yard for a year or two, and had flat tyres and a lot of damp and mould inside and out.
I had to get the car recovered and delivered to my house, so that I could then make a start on getting it up and running
