I came across this car via David Eynon, the X-type model coordinator for the JEC magazine. The car had been sat in a garage for 9 years following the previous owner's passing. His son had decided to sell the car to someone who wanted to put it back on the road & preserve it. Which is where I came in.
After pulling it out of it's garage, we trailered it home. It then went to Stephen Heywood's for a new fuel pump as it wouldn't start. I then gave it a clean up & mini service.
It passed it's MOT with flying colours in July last year, 2025, before completing the Harewood Hill Climb event last year (see pictures below). We have also now been to a few other shows with this car as well as two tours on the X-type Tour of Wales along with my Dad in the dark blue 2.5 Sport CK03XSC.
