Event: JEC North Wales - Jaguars on the Prom
Date: 20th June 2026
Type: Event
Report by Laurence Jones
This was well attended by members of the Greater Manchester JEC region, with some staying over in Llandudno rather than an early start for the drive across from Manchester, but was only 45 minutes from home for me. We all collected together in the car park of a local retail park, before I led our contingent through Llandudno town centre and then turned towards the Prom where we were met by volunteer marshals from the North Wales JEC Region who showed us all exactly where and how to park up for the day.
There were upwards of 200 Jaguars neatly lined up in two rows along the Prom, and we had dry weather all day – sometimes it was quite hot, others it was chilly when the wind blew.
The North Wales JEC Region, who organised and hosted the event, had arranged for a room to be available at a local hotel so that everyone attending could get complementary tea or coffee and a pastry. This was very much appreciated.
Chris Stephens won the best car award for our Region (see below)
The Steam Ship Waverley called in to Llandudno at lunch time, and several of us took a walk along the pier to take a look at her (see below).
We stayed through till about 4pm until setting off on our separate journeys home.
A great show, and we all left hoping that the North Wales JEC Region will host it again next year.
The photos below have been taken by Frank and other members of our Region, thanks for sharing.
