Our Greater Manchester JEC region undertook defibrillator training with Fida Hussain, a trained first aider.
We, as a Club, generally do this training every 3 years with our membership.
This time the training session followed on from a real life situation that involved our Chairman, Pete Smith. He was present when someone experienced a heart attack and needed the use of a defibrillator.
Everyone in our Club that took part in the training practised compression massage alongside learning how to use different types of defibrillators.
All in all a well worthwhile night for everyone to learn life saving techniques.
The Middleton Masonic Club, where we host our meetings, has it’s own Defribillator and is in the process of raising funds to buy its replacement when its serviceable life comes to an end in 2028.
